Drama’s Evil Tendrils

The emotional lure of drama can be like a Siren’s call — beckoning and seductive, but ultimately destructive. Do not fall for its sultry — deceptive — beguiling whispers, for they drip with fallaciousness and pure contempt. They poison relationships, leaving them broken upon the rocks of despair.

In shadows deep, drama’s evil tendrils creep,

Hearts, once warm, turned cold; in anguish, weep.

A fleeting thrill, a moment’s desperate plea —

The false embrace of drama’s cruel decree.

Its whispers sweet, lead beguiling minds astray,

And leaves them lost, abandoned — led away.

Within this stage of life, a frantic dance,

A zero-sum game of mindless happenstance.

The masks we wear, deflections of our pain,

In drama’s grasp, alas, all joy is slain.

Estranged from those who once held us dear;

We drown in sorrowful echoes, bound by fear.

A drug of choice for those who crave the light,

Yet they find themselves in darkness, a dreadful plight.

Beware the subtle siren’s call, the master sly,

Videte dominum doli — heed my cry.

Seek acceptance not in fleeting, vain delights,

But in the steady glow of truth’s pure lights.

For drama’s chains burn brightly, forged in flame,

And leave behind a trail of endless shame.

Escape that trap: renounce that bitter bind,

In friendship’s true embrace, your peace you’ll find.

PS: Videte dominum doli=See the master of trickery
